Is it 2008 already?

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Well the holidays are over and its back to reality. I know, I know - we're already in the 2nd week of January, but this is our first FULL week of the year. I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful holiday season. So what's on the near horizon? Hmmm, Valentines Day, Receiving your W-2's, the Superbowl... what else? THAT'S RIGHT - More great jazz! Venues are kicking off 2008 in a huge way with lots of events in the city. Stop by the event calendar on The Jazz Half (www.thejazzhalf.com) to see what's going on this month.

One show that comes to mind is the Northside Jazz Ensemble playing at the Northside Tavern on January 14th and the 28th starting at 10:00pm. In fact, I was there last month (I just can't get enough of those guys!) listening to Mike Darrah (Organ), Aaron Jacobs (Bass), Max Gise (Guitar), and Mark Wolfley (Drums).
