XUJE Plays The Lyric!

Seasons Greetings, everyone!

On Friday Dec. 5th, The Jazz Half co-sponsored the Xavier University Jazz Ensemble's show at the Lyric, located in Reading. This was a FANTASTIC night of music! A wonderful turnout of people came to hear jazz music as the audience flowed up to the Balcony level. The ensemble, under the direction of John DeFoor, performed selections from their soon-to-be-release CD, "Make Me Smile". This event was truly special; it not only represented the Ensemble's first winter performance off-campus, but was also a birthday celebration for the group's Business Manager, Sue Brown, with all sorts of appetizers, and a beautiful birthday cake. The Jazz Half is more than happy to help make this event possible for the XUJE. A big THANKS to the Ensemble, John DeFoor, and Sue Brown for a great performance.
